By invitation Dublin Cork Galway
Everyone's a stranger until they're not.
When it's Thursday evening, I'll be at a table quiz in Dublin, with five people worth meeting.
You tell us what you're up for. We find five people you'll get on with and sort out the plan. All you have to do is turn up.
You, plus five. Any sidequest.
- DinnerThursday at half seven
- Sea swimSaturday at nine
- HikeSunday morning
- Table quizWednesday at eight
- GigFriday night
- ClimbingTuesday after work
How it works
Sign up
Answer a few questions about how you like to spend your time. It takes a minute, or four if you'd like better matches. Your answers stay private.
We find your five
People near you, at a similar stage of life, who'd enjoy the same sidequest as you.
Meet them on paper
See everyone's first name and profile before you say yes to anything.
Meet them in person
A host gets things going, then leaves you to it.
House rules
- It's invite only, and free while we launch.
- Everyone at your table is there because we matched them.
- Groups of six, always somewhere public, with a host there.
- First names only, until everyone has said yes.
- On the day, you only pay for your own plate or pint.
Now in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
We're letting people in a few at a time in each city, as we have groups ready for them. More cities will follow once there are enough of you.
A season: six meets, from strangers to your people
- Meet #1 Strangers.

There are no strangers here; only friends you haven't yet met.
By invitation
Ready when you are.
Request an invite and we'll let you know as soon as there's a group for you. Got a code from a friend? You're straight in.
Questions
Is this a dating thing?
No. sixfound is about friendship. Groups are mixed, matched on what you're up for and where you're at in life, and everyone's there to meet new people. If something more grows from it, lovely, but that's never the pitch.
Why is it invite only?
Because a group only works when it's the right six. We're letting people in a few at a time, city by city, as we have groups ready for them. Answer the questions to request an invitation, and we'll message you as soon as there's a place. A code from a member, or from one of our posts, brings you straight in, and every member has three invitations to give.
How do you pick my group?
From your answers, which is why the full profile matches best. Research on friendship keeps finding the same few things in common between close friends: a sense of humour, interests, outlook, music, and where you're at in life. We put six people together who share enough of those to get talking easily, keep every table balanced, and make sure nobody is the odd one out. You see everyone's profile before you say yes.
What happens after a sidequest?
You tell us, privately, whether you'd meet each person again. Nobody ever sees your answers. If you and someone both say yes, you'll both find out and can save each other as friends, then bring up to two friends along to your next sidequest. Every rating also teaches the matching who you click with.
What does it cost?
Membership is free while we launch, and we don't ask for card details, so there's nothing to cancel. On the day, you pay for your own share, whether that's a meal, a round, or a quiz entry. Plenty of sidequests, like hikes and sea swims, cost nothing at all. If we ever bring in a paid membership, you'll hear well before, and nothing changes for you unless you choose it.
Do I need to be good at anything?
No. Every sidequest is pitched for beginners, and the point is the company. A slow hike or a quick dip in the shallows counts.
Can I meet the same people again?
Yes, and we hope you will. If you click with people, ask for a repeat sidequest with them. Friendships are built over several meetings, and sixfound is designed for exactly that. A season is six meets in a row: here's how a season works.
What if it doesn't click?
It happens, and it's nobody's fault. Tell us afterwards, and we'll use it to shape your next group. Feedback after every sidequest helps us get the next one right.
Is it safe?
Sidequests happen in public places with a host there. Surnames and contact details are never shared with your group unless you choose to share them, and you can drop out any time beforehand.
Who's behind this?
sixfound is run by Hatem, an engineer based in Ireland, as part of an Enterprise Ireland-backed founder programme. It's an early test, so honest feedback afterwards is very welcome.
What happens to my answers?
They're used only to match you with a group and to get in touch about sixfound. You can delete everything, photos included, any time on the privacy page.
